Stockport Teaching Schools

Cheadle Hulme High School

Cheadle Hulme High School has been a Teaching School since 2012.  As well as being the lead school of the Altius Alliance SCITT, an accredited Ofsted Outstanding Provider of Initial Teaching Training, we have 44 Specialist Leaders of Education (SLEs) who run a variety of CPD courses as well as support teachers in other schools.

We believe that every successful learning organisation must invest in its staff. The development of pedagogic and subject based practices is a key factor in raising attainment and achievement. We offer a variety of programmes both licensed and bespoke to further develop teachers to achieve their potential and the potential of their students:

  • TSST in Maths, Physics, MFL and Core Maths
  • National Professional Qualification for Middle Leadership
  • National Professional Qualification for Senior Leadership
  • Stimulating Physics Network

School to School Support

Our highly skilled SLEs can be deployed to meet the needs of your organisation. Packages of support are designed on an individual basis and can be light touch or deep depending on the project brief which you design in partnership with one of our SLEs.

We consistently strive to improve the teaching and learning in our school. A key part of this commitment is the engagement in research in and of practice. We do this individually, collaboratively, within our alliance and with partner higher education institutions.

Appropriate Body

We have been registered as an Appropriate Body since September 2014 and have successfully supported schools in the UK and the UAE.
